The Anti-Social Network
I like this short film because of it's narrative and the way it directs its attention to a problem that could soon become a worldwide issue. The opening scene highlights the obscurity some people go to publicly post their lives in front of the entire world rather than live in privacy. It also focus on how our social lives' have drastically changed from going out with friends after work to visiting a popular website. The use of framing at 3:13 is how two electronic items are being used at once and how beautiful areas such as the skyline at 11:25 can be discovered though just turning off your phone. I love the use of de-saturated colours for when our protagonist is going about his 'social' life but when he meets an interesting girl his world is restored to full of colour. I also enjoyed the uses of effects such as 'liking' a page can be seen in the real world and declining requests that are tagged onto that particular person who asked about it.
