EXT-Village-
Evening
The sun is slowly
falling and creating an atmospheric effect on the grey pavement. In shot is a lonesome boy walking home to his parents’ house. He is expressionless but
seems tired after his long day at school. We only see his back but we can see
all of the nature that surrounds him.
He makes himself
tea and we see him turn on various lights and appliances while he is doing
this. The music picks up as titles appear.
INT-living
room-evening
A blue tint lurks
in the air as the teenage boy plays his hours away on his XBOX. He is unaware
of how boring the game is and as an audience we become aware of his involvement
inside this murderous game. The camera moves closer to reveal the boys monotonous
stare at the screen.
CUT to a sudden
surge in the electricity. The light flickers and the TV screen go black. The
boy looks around to realise he is left alone and stranded in the manufactured
world.
CUT to a clock ticking on the wall, we
fade to see the clock change time to show how long the boy has been without
power.
CUT to see the boy
lying on the sofa with a bored expression on his face. He looks down to his
phone and turns it on. He hopes he can call his parents. However as he begins to type the phone number the phone dies on
him. He chucks the phone away in anger and sits there unsure of what to do next.
CUT to a sudden blue
light flowing throughout the hallway. The boy tilts his head up to see the light
piercing through his front door. He gets up and begins to walk through the
corridor. He stops by a mirror which reflects him and his final decision to confront the light. He edges forward and we see
his feet slowly crawl towards the door. A sudden light erupts from the door and
a flash of white light erupts onto the screen.TITLES.
