Revolution - The Power Goes Out Clip
This sequence demonstrates how many people would react once the power goes out. Although this is over the top the drama is concise with the emotion we wish to create. As we only have one protagonist we will have to convey the fear not through dialogue but through the emotion shown on the face of the character as he slowly realizes that the world is slowly changing in front of his eyes.
Lighting
The contrast in lighting is significant after the power cuts out.
Camera
The stunning visuals increase as the power goes out. We can use this in our film to signify the change in the atmosphere as the boy goes from being calm in the mundane to unnerved in the darkness.
Sound
There is no diegetic sound for the opening thirty seconds of the sequence. The sound effects increase in loudness during this duration only to suddenly pick up again with stunning visuals to increase the impact of the electricity.
