Beautiful Scenery- Photography

I was assigned to take photos of my local area by my teacher so I could have a greater understanding of locations and possible scenes for our film.

These two albums where both taken in my hometown as I walking through on an evening stroll. I took these shots on my Nikon Coolpix L830 SLR and was able to capture the clock in detail as well as the plants in the foreground. I love the depth of field this camera brings to my phots. i have taken note of where these possible filming locations are.

These two shots where also taken on a walk through my village on an afternoon walk. There is a lot of fields in my area so I was able to walk onto the land and take some shots of the landscape before it was harvested.

again the focus and depth of field are impressiv eon this camera. however I will need to be careful because Nikon ar enot renound for thier video quality as they are their picture quality. I will discuss with the team what action will be need to be taken.

This shot was taken when on a shoot for 'Tom's Day Out' a short film that I worked on a year ago. I was playing around with the parallels of the track and how it contrasted the smooth countryside around us.

This shot was also taken on Tom's Days Out while taking a break from shooting. I noticed a couple where getting married across the road and I also spotted a circular statue nearby, thus creating this picture. I had to take the photo a couple of times to get the framing right but i was happy with my results.

Another shot from Tom's Day Out, this was what was behind me when I was taking the shot above. I took several shots in order to get the right one, but I am pleased how this shot turned out. I love the sunset that catches the ripples on the river and the way the boat is placed perfectly within frame. This got me considering framing of our work in our film and I began talking with Lucie about her visions for the film. We both agreed our visual would improve if we framed the subject correctly.

This was taken with my Nikon SLR camera while outside playing with friends. I noticed the moon was out and grabbed my camera to snap a shot. I took several and was able to zoom in to get a good quality photo.

This photo was captured while at a families wedding. My brother was standing in the middle of the shot and I decided to take a photo of him. I love the lighting in this one and it gave a romantic yet cinematic feel to the shot. I want to create a similar feeling with the lighting, creating suspence for what lurks in the darker as the boy is only used to the light.

This last photo was taken on my iPod while my parents stopped the car for something to eat. Although this is in Hastings and would be hard to travel to I like the layering of this shot and the stark contrast of the sky compared to the pebbles of the beach. This could portray the natural world and what the boy is missing out on.
